Following the successful construction of two cement plants in Morocco and as part of the Group's development, Mr. Anas Sefrioui decided to expand his activities in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is in this context that Ciments de l'Afrique (CIMAF) was created in 2011.
CIMAF is currently present in 11 countries in West and Central Africa: Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea Conakry, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Mali, Mauritania, Ghana, Chad and Guinea Bissau.
The group is also present in Europe through its crushing and bagging activity in Le Havre, France.
The group has achieved a real success story by becoming a major regional player in cement in less than 10 years:
1 - Satisfying local demand
The setting up of an industrial unit of cement production makes it possible to satisfy, in quantity and in quality, all the local demand of the country.
2 - Technology transfer
The construction and operation of the cement plant allows a transfer of technology and know-how.
3 - Training of the local workforce
As cement production is a heavy industry that requires specific technical skills, during the entire project phase, local skilled labor is recruited and trained in Morocco in CIMAT's already operational cement plants.
4 - Job creation
Main d’œuvre locale : chaque projet utilisera 1000 personnes pendant la phase projet et 200 personnes pendant la phase exploitation (main d’œuvre directe et indirecte).
5 - Promotion of the cement product
As the Group's policy is based on quality, CIMAF's production units contribute to the development of the quality of the cements marketed in the country.
