EL HALLASSA LAUNDRY

The El Hallassa Laundry, a large-scale project, is an essential link in the new industrial plan developed by OCP, aimed at strengthening Morocco's competitiveness in the global phosphate market and consolidating its leadership.

The construction in Fquih Ben Saleh of the largest phosphate washing plant in the world, with an investment of more than 3.4 MM MAD, is intended to increase the production capacity of the Khouribga site and to extend the life of the exploited mines (Sidi Chennane and El Halassa mines) as much as possible by making the investment of the Office chérifien des phosphates (OCP) more profitable

It allows for maximum recovery of the deposit by extracting the entire phosphate series and enriching all the layers with low phosphorus content, as well as recycling more than 80 pc of process water.

With a production capacity of 12 million tons per year, the washing plant is composed of two washing lines with a unit capacity of 1,600 tons/hour, a flotation workshop, six grinders, dikes on 120 ha for sludge spreading and water recovery, three sludge decanters and three product decanters.
